About the Author
Brenda Castro works as a librarian and technology teacher at a Catholic elementary school. Her love for teaching and her passion for books inspired her to write God’s Easter Gifts. In her debut work, she wanted to tell a story that would teach children that, even though Easter is fun, there is a much deeper meaning to this holy day and the journey toward the Resurrection begins forty days earlier on Ash Wednesday. It is Brenda’s hope that, through this story, children will come to understand all the ways God blesses us throughout the year and surrounds us with His love everyday through all the gifts He gives us. Brenda lives in Glendale, Arizona, with her husband and three children. She graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, hiking and reading to her children.

Sweetness that fills a child's heart and mind

This is a bright, beatifully illustrated book. The detail on each beautiful egg is lovely and the children's Easter morning is wonderfully full of flowers and Springtime colors. The children's Easter dress and suit are so beautifully created. And the special moments when the children open each egg is a discovery for their hearts and minds. This book gives my children the gift of making an Easter Egg Hunt full of purpose and in line with our Lord's Passion, his suffering, death and resurrection. Thank you for writing such an inspiring children's book!

Best book to add to your children/grandchildren's Easter basket!

If you are looking for a great book to add to your child's Easter basket this year, God's Easter Gifts is it! Written by Brenda Castro this book creatively has your children join siblings Bella and Pablo on their Easter egg hunt after Easter mass. The children were so excited to find candy, toys and goodies and instead found gifts much greater!
In their Easter egg hunt the children found the gifts of Strength, Nature, Friendship, Food, Faith, Family, and most importantly the gift of Life. This adorable book helps bring the true meaning of Easter to your family in such a pure and beautiful way. Our children loved the illustrations including some from their favorite Bible stories of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples, the Last Supper and of the Holy Family. As a parent my favorite part of this book is the questions that accompany at the end of the page with each different gift. These questions truly allow for great discussion with your children to grow in their faith and understand God's love for each of us.
As we celebrate Easter we want our children to celebrate all of the gifts that God has given to us, especially the gift of His Son, Jesus. The book God's Easter Gifts is the perfect way to bring this understanding of God's gifts into our homes!

to the pure beautiful description of the gifts in each egg

If your looking for something different this Lenten/Easter season, this is the book you want! From the detailed art, to Easter egg hunting with the children, to the pure beautiful description of the gifts in each egg. My 5 yr old daughter and I absolutely Loved it!!! The questions after each hunt, help my daughter and I have a conversation about what she thought of each gift and how it reflects to my child's life as well as mine. We felt joy and love after reading this book and we recommend this book to everyone!
