A lot of useful information.

A very welcome book of "jazz shortcuts" we need more of this type of insider information. Barry shows you how to apply tools already in your arsenal in new ways to create very cool sounds. For instance, using simple pentatonic scales to play extensions on chords from different roots.

This book has a lot of great lines and nice chord changes over them

This book has a lot of great lines and nice chord changes over them...Eventhough I do read and know the fretboard ...to play what is in this book takes practice....My only gripe is the audio examples that Barry gives are all online..My point is Barry Greene plays everything FAST..If there were a CD with the book I could slow things down with "transcribe"..I would then give the book 5 stars
