Book arrived earlier than expected which was nice. The slip case was torn on one side

Book arrived earlier than expected which was nice. The slip case was torn on one side. The book was listed as new on purchasing but the hard cover of the book has a crease on the front which runs along the spine. There is a linear crease running the length of the back cover as well, both of which I assume are manufacturing defects, not seller or shipping problems (would have been nice if the seller mentioned the cosmetic defects before purchasing). Also noticed an ink smudge on one of the inside pages and the cover of the book has bits of ? stuck to it which I couldn't remove. With the exception of the slip case, I can only assume that these are QC issues with the printer. Otherwise, a beautiful book.
Ray does an incredible job with his exploration of light on the sea, shooting seascapes or surfers under all types of lighting conditions and atmospheric elements. His beautiful imagery incorporating strong colour, monochromatic scenes, shallow depth of field, panning, and tack sharp action imagery captivate the viewer, and transport the reader into a world that few photographers venture. Shooting under technically very difficult conditions and then attempting to capture memorable photographs must have made it all the more challenging. In the end, he has done so exceptionally well. Ray engages the viewer from cover to cover despite dealing with a simple subject that could have become monotonous very quickly.
If it wasn't for the manufacturing/reproduction defects listed above, I would have given it 5 stars. Definitely a welcome addition to my library of photographic books as a source of inspiration and wonder.

YOU MUST CHECK THE MOVIE OUT AND THEN,,,,SUPPORT THE ARTIST....EVERYONE WHO SEES THIS ON THE TABLE ALWAYS REACHES FOR THE SEA......ESPECIALLY IF YOU LOVE THE SEA......
