2 Bible Stories....

The title of the book leads one to believe there are multiple stories in the book. Not just two! The story of creation is
ok, but a bit wordy for small children. The story of Noah and the flood is the same. Both are told fairly well but not
very accurately if the author's intent was to tell the stories as they are told in the Bible. If the intent was to make them
more readable for kids I cannot say whether that is accomplished or not. My kids were not impressed. I thought it
did a decent job of telling the highlights of the two stories. Definitely a bit lacking in detail. but when written for kids
the highlights are more important. I would say if you want a good book of Bible stories for your kids to look somewhere
else. There are only two here and they are not entirely written the way they are in the original (Bible). I want my
kids to know the whole story not pieces of it no matter what it is. Especially in the case of religion we do not need
to cut corners. My kids know the whole story. They pointed out the missing parts and were allowed to choose a
book for their Kindle for every error or left out thing they could find. I am buying 8 books so they can learn more
about things that interest them or they need to study for school. My kids learned to read by the time they were 4
years old so they are way ahead of their classmates and have read most of the books in the house that are age
appropriate and a lot of Kindle books as well. I am happy they are enjoying reading because that means they will
enjoy learning for a lifetime. Some punctuation and other editing errors but nothing bad enough to take away from
the content.

The story of creation and the story of Noah's ark with a lot of pictures

This was mainly just the story of creation and the story of Noah's ark. It was okay and basic, but there were a number of (minor) spelling errors here and there. Also, I guess some of the story was slightly different than what I learned back in Sunday school. For example, I didn't know that Noah was 600 years old, or that after the 40 days flood that they sailed for 150 days. I might have actually learned this and just forgot. Either way, these are very minor points that definitely do not take away from the story and message no matter what version you might know. Our 8 year old son read this with a little help, not with any difficult words, but more of the length of it. He could, can, and did read stories of this type when he was 7 years old. He was just a little lazy today. It's okay as we could all read it together. It was great. I only misused a star because I thought there was more than 2 stories (really only 1) and for the typos. There were a lot of pictures, every other page or so, just like all of the other Speedy Publishing stories.

Good book for young kids to learn about the bible. KUDOS to the writers, My son ejoyed it.

Okay so last night I read this book with my 6 yrs old son, well mainly he read the book but got bored quickly and then I took over. The book is decent for kids, however there are some text added within the story by the author which surely was fabricated to relate more with kids and honestly I cannot knock that. I wished it remain more true to the actual stories from the bible, but I can see a young kid enjoying it never the less. My son and I enjoyed the spiritual bonding time together and this book surely delivered that aspect of it.
On to the images, the images are nice, yet sometimes they do not even relate to the stories. I found that the images should have been thought out far more before publishing the book. They look as if they were snatched off the web and not illustrated for this specific book. I may be wrong but it looks as if this book was composed way to quickly for its own good. . Also the images lack text below them detailing the images further in order to grasp the child's attention further and thus lack real presentation. Some of the stories lack key parts like the rainbow at the end of the Noah story, but I am certain your child will still like it. As a parent we can always fill them on such said missing parts, since that is part of being parents.
I still however believe that for a kid this book is perfect to get their feet wet and help them understand the bible stories better. It is a keeper nd I would have given it 5 stars yet could not due to some of the issues mentioned.
