BETTER THAN EXPECTED!

I received Abandoned America: The Age of Consequences for Christmas this year, and loved it. So when I got Abandoned NYC I was a bit disappointed.... It's smaller and thinner (shorter) than AA:TAOC but once I dove into it.... It's far superior. The locations in this book are not the same old "song and dance" they are obscure (to me) places that I've never heard of.... and it makes me want to dive into the internet and learn more about this abandoned places left in the woods of NY. I was super happy to see the place featured in the documentary "Cropsy" (highly rec doc available on streaming Netflix). I am overjoyed to see Grossinger's resort featured in this book, I'm obsessed with long forgotten resorts of the 60s. This book is totally worth it! Highly recommended! The only thing I would have liked... is Bannermann Castle/Island, but more than enough can be found on that place with the internet.

This book is fantastic!!

This book is fantastic! I have followed Will's Abandoned NYC blog for some time and his posts are always really good. For the book, he has selected the best of the best and seeing them in book format is quite something. The images are so much more vivid in the book than on the blog and Will's narrative really adds to the images.
What I really like is that the book is not the huge "coffee table" style for this type of book. You can easily hold this book and I can guarantee that you will be looking at it very often.
