Full disclosure: I am one of the artists featured in this book but have no financial stake in whether it sells or not.
The copy I ordered arrived today. After having a chance to look through it, I could not be more proud to have my work included. Super impressed by the quality of prints chosen as well as the layout & design of the book. Some of my very favorite printmakers are included.
The 75 individual printmakers and the 31 print shops featured in this book are each given 2 pages. Each of the individual printmakers are represented with about 5 of their artworks and a statement. The print shops each have about 5 photos (usually photos of people working in the shop, their presses, prints produced at that particular shop, workshop events, etc.) and a info on the history of the shop and what sets them apart.
The range, scope, and variety of styles and processes represented make it a "must see" for anybody interested in the very-much-alive print scene. Even if I were not in it, I would definitely get a copy because I am interested in the developments in contemporary printmaking.
