The Long and Fabulous Road - A Short and Fabulous Book!

Yes, there have been dozens - nay, hundreds - of books about the Beatles (I should know, since I own a great deal of them.) But, this latest entry from Fab Four expert Rob Rodriguez provides one of the best and most succinct tellings of their story that I've ever seen.
Beginnings? They're in there. Rise to fame? It's in there. The acrimonious breakup? It's in there. Their subsequent solo careers? They're in there. The Beatles in the 21st Century? It's in there. Rodriguez' intimate knowledge of his subject and "easy on the eyes" writing style makes this book a great read for any extant or wannabe Beatles fan.
As a unique phenomenon in pop culture history, the Beatles are often the subject of offerings in high schools and colleges. Here, then, is the perfect requisite textbook for those classes.
And this is one text that won't be sold back to the bookstore when the class is completed.
Bravo on a wonderful book. Yeah...Yeah...Yeah.

This book will walk you down the long and winding roads the Beatles traveled. Yes, there are countless Beatle biographies. Yes, many hard core fans already know the material covered in this book. All the same, it is interesting and well written. It is a book that allows readers to, in effect i.d imagine taking that walk with them.

Short but Great! You gotta read it! Yeah, yeah, yeah!

Succinct, yet with almost all the pertinent facts and tid-bits, the book is highly readable to anyone interested in the band's history. It's simply fun to go through the pages. (One caveat: The book is not meant to be a musical analysis of the group's great works.)
